About Me(ka)
Hi,
I’m Meka Jannali, an Oakland, CA native and an Industrial Design graduate from California College of the Arts. I’m excited to take the next step in my design journey and to pursue my passion for creating things that matter.
Since I was young, I’ve been drawn to both art and problem-solving. Industrial design became the perfect way to combine these two passions for me. What I love the most about design is the ability to create products that are not only beautiful but also improve the lives of their users. One area I’m particularly passionate about is footwear design. The blend of form, function, and style in footwear fascinates me, and I’m always looking for ways to push the boundaries in this space.
When I’m not designing, you’ll find me traveling, watercolor painting, reading, or upcycling clothes. I’m also passionate about music—I’m usually at the nearest concert on the weekends, whether it’s Erykah Badu, Skepta, or any artist with a unique sound. Music is a huge part of my life, and I love how it fuels my creativity and keeps me inspired.
I’m eager to take my skills, passion, and fresh perspective into the world of industrial design, with a focus on creating meaningful, impactful products for those who need it most.
